Paul became the United Kingdom’s first electric vehicle driving instructor when he acquired his first electric car in Stoke-on-Trent on November 10, 2012. The vehicle, a 24 kW Nissan Leaf, initially posed challenges as its range was significantly impacted by the winter temperatures, sometimes reaching only 50 miles. Despite his initial doubts about his business decision, Nissan provided support by offering him a free charge at the Holdcroft garage.
Later that same month, the UK saw its first successful test pass in a fully electric vehicle. Since then, Paul has upgraded to newer models of the Nissan Leaf, starting from 30 kW, then 40 kW, and now utilizing a 62 kW Leaf, which effectively meets his needs.
Our Second Leaf ❤️
This was a 30 KW leaf around 100 mile range. This car did 126,000 miles on the same brake pads only 50% used.
